Stu Duvall
In week one we were so lucky to have Stu Duvall in our school giving us tips on how to be amazing writers.
Stu is really funny and he tells wonderful stories that are funny and exciting. He is really good at using different voices.
Stu also is a great drawer and every time he comes to o ur school he draws a pisture to go with the story he is going to tell us.
His story this time called The Flax Cross, but he said that was just the working title.

A hook
without bait won’t catch a fish. ARM is the
bait.
Don’t start
your story with a weather report, e.g. One sunny day… grab your reader by their
nose hairs
Start at the
end first???
Write the
final sentence. You may or may not use it but it could give you direction.
